The Goal:
The goal was to reduce Sierra’s everyday frustration with managing multiple Spotify playlists by making playlist discovery and organization faster and more intuitive. Instead of redesigning Spotify visually, the focus was on improving interaction flow—helping her access important playlists instantly, perform repetitive actions in fewer steps, and spend more time enjoying music rather than managing it.
1
The Challenge:
The main challenge was solving playlist management problems without disrupting Spotify’s familiar experience. Sierra struggled to find priority playlists among many, felt confused between pinned and recently played sections, and had to repeat the same actions for each playlist individually. Designing a solution that reduced friction while keeping the interface simple, safe, and recognizable required careful balance.

The Result
The EasyFlow redesign created a smoother, calmer playlist experience for Sierra. Clear playlist sections reduced searching, multi-select actions eliminated repetitive steps, and streamlined interactions kept her listening flow uninterrupted. As a result, managing playlists felt effortless and intentional, turning a frustrating task into a seamless part of her everyday music routine.
